About the Artist

John has been involved with Japanese and Chinese furniture for over 20 years. After many years as a carpenter he chose to build a shop and make furniture similar to what he had seen in China and Japan. Building on their traditions of simplicity and functionality, he has been able to meld Asian design into Western use. John works out of a small shop in Philadelphia and has shipped furniture to many states and overseas. He shows his work at the Philadelphia Furniture Show and now online.
